KASIA MOŚ

Singer, composer, and songwriter, Poland’s representative in the Grand Final of the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest (Kyiv 2017). Born into a musical family, she graduated in cello and piano from the Fryderyk Chopin General Education Music School in Bytom and in singing from the Jazz and Popular Music Faculty of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. She performs songs from jazz and popular repertoire. She also applies the so-called white voice technique. She has taken part in recording sessions and performances of Paweł Mykietyn’s St Mark Passion and King Lear, and recorded Wojciech Kilar’s vocalise for Krzysztof Zanussi’s Foreign Body. She has collaborated, among others, with Norma John, Kuba Badach, Marek Dyjak, Leszek Możdżer, Jerzy Maksymiuk, and Janusz Olejniczak, and appeared at such festivals as Spring Break, Top Trendy, Woodstock, Opole Festival, Top of the Top Sopot Festival, Wratislavia Cantans, the Warsaw Autumn, Sacrum Profanum, and Kraków Film Music Festival. She has recorded three albums: Inspination, Moniuszko 200 (also on DVD), and Karin Stanek. Kasia Moś is also an animal rights activist.
